Mercedes Benz SL Overhaul Top Convertible
Mercedes redesigned the SL - only two years after the first facelift to the sold since 2001 in more than 140,000 units Cabriolet was a sportier touch.
This time, the changes are more intense - in Stuttgart one even speaks of a "new SL".
The 231-hp SL280 is added as an entry level model, the SL350 climbs to over 300 hp. Motorized remain unchanged the 388 hp SL 500 and the 517-hp SL600. For this, the SL55 AMG differs with the compressor SL63 AMG with 6.2-liter naturally aspirated engine. This is the strongest displacement SL at all, because the SL600 has only 5.5 liters, and also the upcoming SL65 AMG remains smooth with 6 liters below the 6.2-liter engine, yet Ulrich Bruhnke, now chief of the supplier Visio Corp., has placed.
Design
The design has been sharpened with an arrow-shaped front, two non-functional scoops on the hood and a modified wheels and tail design. The peanut-shaped headlights are a thing of the past, they make way for a new style similar to the CLS sedan design. The interior has been changed slightly and the brilliant "Airscarf" that surrounds the driver and passenger even at a cool ambient temperature with a pleasant warm air stream is available as an extra.
Status-conscious buyers will appreciate the fact that the SL600 with easily recognizable V12 emblems apart from the less expensive versions. The SL is officially unveiled in early March in Geneva

Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S Review
Mercedes Benz has unleashed one of the biggest craze this year, the all new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S. The new Roadster 722 S is powered by a 5.5L V8 AMG engine delivering 650 horsepower and maximum torque of 604 lb-ft. The engine is associated with a five speed automatic transmission which is designed for high performance. The car accelerates from 0 up to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 kilometers per hour. Mercedes claims that this two-seater cars soft-top is capable of withstanding high speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour which is made of carbon fiber.
With a rigid spring and shock absorber configurations on its suspension, the SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S body is lowered by 10mm on its front and rear, making it sure that the car has a guaranteed handling stability. A 19-inch lightweight forged aluminum wheels allows a nice view of the red painted brake calipers made from a highly-resistant carbon fiber ceramic brake discs.

As a new feature in the compact segment, the A-Class comes standard with a radar-based collision warning system with adaptive Brake Assist, which aims to reduce the danger of a collision.
