Mahindra working on Verito Compact sedan project is not a secret. They have officially announced the project. Verito compact sedan has caught on testing countless number of times in the outskirts of Chennai. Here is a rendering which will tell us whats we can expect in the verito compact sedan. The rendering looks production ready.

Front looks similar to the Verito sedan. To get a macho Look Mahindra adds Black Roof rail. On the side everything looks similar until the rear door. Then there is only a small extention. No proper boot or anything like on Swift Dzire. Rear tail lamps are not placed on the boot. They are placed on the pillars which looks wired. Rest of the Boot design comes straight from the Verito sedan.

Difference between verito sedan and compact sedan in design is the new Tail lamp position,roof rail and the length.Mahindra will launch the Verito CS with the  1.5 L K9K diesel engine which is very fuel efficient.Mahindra is not targeting compact sedan segment with the Verito CS.They are targeting premium hatch back segment. So will you choose a Verito CS over Swift,i20 or polo.

Compact SUV segment is one of the fastest growing segment in emerging markets and developed market.Most of the manufactures are working on their compact SUVs.Nissan showcased the Hi-Cross Concept in the Geneva Motor show last year.Here is a rendering of Production ready model of the HI-Cross Concept.Production model continues the Basic design of the concept model.Front grill,head Lamps and bumper design is similar to the Hi-Cross concept.Production model looks compact and we can expect good interior space.Hi-Cross production Model will be based on a new platform which is jointly developed by Nissan and Renault.This Compact SUV will be powered by both petrol and Diesel engines.New Model will hit the International market by the end of 2013.We can expect Nissan to bring this model to India to fight against Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster.
